Online Tuition
Learn an instrument, from from wherever you are.
Live one-to-one and group lessons for children and adults, taught by the same PMA teachers who teach in our studios – just over video call instead of in person.
Lesson options
Four ways to learn online.
Choose the format that fits your age, level and goals – every option runs on the same live video platform.

Individual, ages 5–17
One-to-one live lessons paced to school-age pupils, with a parent able to sit in on younger children's sessions.

Individual, adult learners
Flexible daytime and evening slots designed around a working schedule, from complete beginner upward.

Small group lessons
Learn alongside a small group on the same instrument and level - a more social, lower-cost option.

Online exam preparation
Focused ABRSM and Trinity preparation for pupils sitting graded exams, at any level.
Lesson options
What you’ll need before lesson one.
Nothing specialist – most pupils are ready to go with equipment they already have at home.
A laptop, tablet, or desktop computer
A device with a working camera and microphone - most phones work too, but a larger screen helps for note-reading.
Stable internet connection
A minimum of 5 Mbps is recommended for smooth video and audio during the lesson.
Headphones (recommended)
Reduces echo and helps pupils hear the teacher's playing clearly, especially over a laptop's built-in speaker.
The PMA Online Portal
A free browser-based video platform — no download required, a link is emailed before every lesson.
Instrument set up in view of the camera
Positioned so the teacher can see both hands and the keyboard, fretboard, or bow clearly.
